The Neutral Grey Series was made to keep the true colours of the interior of a vehicle. The pure grey greatly expands the options for automotive design beyond green glass, which is typically used in automotive glass. 

In luxury vehicles, where there is often a strong focus on the interior design, the Neutral Grey Series is a great option that does not interfere with the colour of the interior materials as seen from the outside. Typically, automotive glass has a green tint to reduce sunlight exposure. Naturally, the light illuminating the interior from outside the car is also green. The Neutral Grey Series allows the texture and colour of the interior and leather used for driving seats to be shown in its true appearance.

S-LEC™ film does not deny classical designs that have been loved for many years. For example, when the goal is to reduce weight without compromising the traditional atmosphere of a car’s design. By combining the S-LEC™ light green PVB interlayer and chemically strengthened thin clear glass with high transparency, a colour match with the green glass which is generally used for automotive glass can be achieved.

S-LEC™ Wide Gradient Film, whose visible light transmittance (Tvis) varies in gradients from 2% to over 70%, adds beauty to the car while blocking sunlight. There is a danger of sunlight shining directly into the driver’s eyes during the early morning and evening hours when the sun is in a low position. By placing a colour with low visible light transmittance on the top of the windshield, temporary view obstructions and dangerous accidents can be avoided. The color change is a smooth transition, giving a natural impression to the design.

S-LEC™ Wide Gradient Film has a lineup of multiple types of designs with different gradation widths and visible light transmittance of the colour portion. The appropriate combination of products can be selected according to the desired design. Customization of design is also possible based on inquiry.
